Despite its many advantages, laser marking of durable label film has always been a complex and expensive process. In the past, it required highly-trained operators, a large investment in equipment, lots of expenditure for maintenance, and a protected work area for safe operation.
Primera's new LP130 Laser Marking System changes all of that. This laser marking system is built to be used from your desktop or workbench, making the laser marking process convenient and simple. You can use this system just like any other Windows®-based printer with the main difference being a high-powered, solid state fiber optic coupled laser. The laser either ablates or phase-changes a wide range of specialty label substrates, delivering all the advantages of highly-durable laser label marking but at a much lower prince and with far greater ease than ever before.
The labels produced are intended to be proxies for etched metal plates as well as thermal-transfer laminated polyester bar code labels. Both "smokeless" and "smoke" types of substrates are available.
Simple and Safe to Operate
No special operator training is required to use this machine; easy to install software called BarTender® Primera Edition for Windows XP/Vista/7 is included.
This machine's compact size allows you to place printers directly on your desktop instead of depending upon a larger, more expensive centralized unit. LP130 meets CDRH and IEC laser safety standards and comes with safety features such as an interlock safety switch on the top cover.
Optional Air Filtration System
Label substrates that generate smoke and fumes come with the option of Primera's DF-30 Filtration System. DF-30 can be mounted directly beneath the printer without the need for any tools. It has four filtering stages: a pre-bag filter, MERV-13 large particle filter, a HEPA small particle filter, and an industrial-grade carbon filter for odor removal. The DF-30 addition lets you safely use the LP130 printer in most offices, warehouses, and factory environments.
Built by Primera and Coherent
Primera is one of the world's foremost manufacturers of specialty printers and Coherent is the leading OEM laser component manufacturer. Both companies worked together to develop the LP130 so you can be confident that the LP130 Laser Marking System was designed and built by the best that the industry has to offer.
