Introducing
the Pioneer PRV-9200 DVD recorder was designed for ease
of use and convenience, the PRV-9200 is perfect for creating
compliant DVD-Video discs quickly and without the need for a
computer or authoring software. From medical and training, to
security and live event recording, the PRV 9200 is the intelligent
choice for discriminating DVD professionals. The PRV-9200 can
record and play back in either NTSC or PAL standards.
IEEE-1394/DV Input/Output: The DV input allows users to record
digital component video content from a DV source such as a DV
camera or tape deck. The PRV-9200 can take the DV source and
record directly to the internal HDD or direct to DVD media.
It can also be used as a video source to another DV recording
device using the IEEE-1394 port.
Extended Recording Times: You can select from four optional
recording levels of varying picture quality to maximize your
recording times. Choose from Fine, Standard Play, Long Play
or Extended Play for up to 6 hours of video on one DVD-R or
DVD-RW disc. The player ¹s manual mode offers 32 different bit-rate
settings, giving you the utmost in flexibility. Simultaneous
High-Speed Copying and Recording/Playback With the PRV-9200,
you can simultaneously record or play back from the Hard Disk
Drive while making a high-speed copy of another recording directly
from the Hard Disk Drive to a DVD-R or DVD-RW disc.
One-Touch Copying: The PRV-9200 offers the ultimate in speed
and convenience with its ³One-Touch Copy ² function that records
content from the internal Hard Disk Drive directly to DVD-R
or DVD-RW media in high speed. (Speed depends upon DVD-R/DVD-RW
media used.)
Smart VBR: (Variable Bit Rate) The VBR recording mode lets you
choose the quality level and recording time that best suits
your content and project. Auto mode automatically sets the best
possible recording quality for the time specifications of the
DVD media you are using.
160 GB Hard Disk Drive: The PRV-9200 is equipped with a 160GB
internal Hard Disk Drive that is capable of storing over 206
hours of video content. Recording to the HDD allows you further
flexibility in editing your content, choosing designs for button
and menu layouts, and quickly copying the finished project from
the HDD directly to DVD-R or DVD-RW media in high speed.
DVD Editing at Your Fingertips: The unit ¹s Graphical User Interface
allows multiple titles to be merged together from the Hard Disk
Drive into a copy list, thus giving users the ability to merge
and edit content to create new DVD projects. Furthermore, the
PRV-9200 can edit a chapter, erase an entire title or erase
a section of a title, divide a title or even protect a title
from erasure. This can only be done when the video content is
recorded to the HDD.
Convenient Disc Backup: The DVD Disc Backup feature offers a
convenient way to backup important video content on DVD to another
DVD recordable disc via the unit ¹s internal hard drive.
