The
Casio CW-75 is a thermal printer with a print area measuring
.6"h x 2.9"w. On a typical CD-R, you can print up to eight lines
in one print area above the opening in the center of the CD-R,
and up to eight lines in one print area below the hole, for
a total of 16 lines. (The thermal transfer ribbon will print
about 50 CDs using one print area.) The Disc Title Printer is
powered by 8 "AA" size batteries or an optional AC adaptor.
The print format of the Casio CW75 consists of 18 alpha-numeric
formats and four graphic formats that you can select from. It
features a QWERTY keyboard for stand alone operation as well
as a USB connection for easy hook-up to a PC. The PC software
includes six fonts, 1,055 symbols, step-by-step help and templates.
The Disc Title Printer can display 12 characters x 1 line of
data input and shows the CD-R/DVD layout.
NOTE: This printer is a thermal transfer printer, whose print
head must be able to move across the surface of the CD-R. Because
of this, satisfactory printing results may not be possible if
you try to print on a ink jet printable disc, or on a disc whose
lable has a rough surface or some design within the area printed
by the printer.
